Call me LITTLE TUNNY! False albacore, bonito, little tuna and even bonehead, all names for this true tuna properly referred to as the little tunny. Whatever you may call him, and I wish you would call him by his given name, he is a power house that demands one get his light tackle techniques down quickly or pay the price in lost flies, broken rod tips, boned reels and bruised knuckles. These obliging little powerhouses are in our area most of the year, though spring through fall is the time to venture offshore for some great light tackle fun.
