Tarpon can be targeted by any means from fly to live bait. We prefer artficials when conditions allow. This fishery can be as good as the Keys tarpon fishery, though we catch most of our fish in deeper cuts as opposed to fishing crystal-clear flats. There are occasions, however, when we encounter fish on the beach or prowling the shallow inshore bars, that sight casting to individual pods of fish becomes a viable fishery. There are several bodies of fish available to us during the season in weight classes from 20 pound to 100 plus .
